In our field, we as managers and our administration teams are often spread thin. Often times, some of the most foundational elements of our organization get neglected because we simply do not have the time it takes to overhaul the big projects that are vital for successful operations. That is why I am so grateful for the support of James Arndt. If you have not had the opportunity to work with James, you are missing out! He has helped the City of Berea to completely revamp our pay scale system including doing all the research and data compilation. He has also helped us to update all job descriptions and to make a 10-year financial forecast report. Mr. Arndt is professional, personable, energetic, and his skills are well-rounded. As a consultant he continues to learn and grow with market trends such as becoming a John Maxwell Leadership Team Member in an effort to help municipalities to promote teamwork and build strong leadership within the organization. Really enjoyed the Mastermind Group. Please keep me posted on future opportunities to network and grow professionally. Finally, one of the best take-aways for me from the Mastermind book was the, “Thanks, I Noticed” concept. I intend to order myself some stationery saying, “Thanks I noticed” and make it easily available in my car, purse, office, and home so that I can shoot off a quick note to people whom I notice doing good things. Such a simple idea but one that can make a big difference. Loved it!

I was recently fortunate enough to be involved in Jim’s delivery of the DISC Workshop along with several City team members. Jim was able to help us connect our individual DISC Assessment results to our daily interaction with others and our management approach. He is so engaging, relatable and overall easy to learn from.
